To All Comics,

There are two paths to getting on our 300 seat theater shows featured at the Liberty Science Center’s After-Dark event series. Each show will feature a comedy competition earlier in the same week. Comics can signup to compete for spots. Winners are determined by a comic panel and audience applause/laughter. The second path is through signing up for the comic bucket. A quarter of each show is dedicated to random bucket pulls in order to give anyone a chance at getting stage time. This option includes a few perks, but does not guarantee that you will be picked(though the odds are always great). See below for more info on each option:

Calling all comics! 🎤 Want to perform at the Liberty Science Center for their “Shamrock Shindig” themed After-Dark night? Here’s your chance. 6th Borough Comedy is hosting a standup competition in Link Photo Studio, over at Jersey City’s Mana Contemporary, to find our next features.

The Details:

  • When: March 10th 2026 from 8PM-9:30PM

  • Where: Link Studio, 930 Newark Avenue, Jersey City NJ

    • building has free parking in the rear

    • minutes away from the Journal Square Path Station

  • The Stakes: [X] finalists will earn 5min spots at the LSC Show on 3/12/26.

  • Competition Setup: Each comic will perform 3 minutes of standup. We will have a comic panel of 6BC regulars who will give feedback after each set and rank each performance privately.

    • x spots awarded according to audience applause/laughter

  • The Cost: $20 (100% of proceeds go to venue rental and marketing).

In order to give all comics interested a shot at stage time in a 300 seat theater, 6BC dedicates a quarter of the show to comic bucket pulls. The host pulls out names from the bucket throughout the show to give comics opportunities to get on stage. This advance signup is only available to comics who have been doing standup. We check your socials/tapes to confirm.

If you’re interested in performing for your first time, general audience members can signup at the theater. You can get your ticket here.

Signing up in advance also gives you the following perks:
