With the World Cup excitement taking over New Jersey, the ultimate sudden-death drama is hitting the comedy stage. We’ve scouted the Tri-State’s sharpest comedians for a brutal, World Cup-style Round of 32 tournament—and the audience is the referee. This group C qualifier will feature 8 comics going head to head to make it out of the group stage.
Match Dynamics
Sudden-Death Sprints: Comics face off in pairs with exactly 60 seconds to deliver their best jokes.
The Pro Panel: Expert judges break down the sets with savage, live feedback.
The VAR (Voice of Audience Resounding): The judges give notes, but your applause completely decides who advances and who goes home.
8 comics will start off the show, but only 2 will survive to punch their ticket to the Grand Finals show on July 9th inside the iconic 300-seat JWD theater at the Liberty Science Center. Winners walk away with cash prizes and a coveted 2026 comedy residency.
